Not legal, tax, or payroll advice

Certiwage is a document-preparation tool. It helps you compute and format a federal Form WH-347 (Certified Payroll Report) and its Statement of Compliance. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or payroll advice, and using it does not create a professional-client relationship.

Not affiliated with the government

Certiwage is a product of Handler Labs LLC and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Labor, its Wage and Hour Division, or any state agency. Form WH-347 is a U.S. government form; references to it are for identification only.

Verify before you file

Prevailing-wage law is detailed and changes over time. You are responsible for verifying every report against the current Davis-Bacon and Related Acts requirements, the applicable wage determination incorporated into your contract, and any state prevailing-wage law that applies, before you sign and submit it. Willful falsification of a certified payroll can carry civil or criminal penalties.

Wage rates are user-supplied

Certiwage does not maintain a wage-determination database. You enter the classifications and rates off your own wage determination. The accuracy of those inputs — and of the hours, deductions, and fringe amounts you provide — is your responsibility.

Submission methods vary

Some awarding agencies require certified payroll to be submitted through a specific system (for example, a state portal or a designated vendor). Certiwage produces the report (and, for California, the eCPR XML), but you must confirm and use your project's required submission method.

No warranty

Certiwage is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Handler Labs LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service, including withheld payment, penalties, or debarment.
